Tellina virus 1, named after its host the marine bivalve mollusk Tellina tenuis, is a member of a divergent clade of birnaviruses, and its VP4 peptidase differs so much from those of other birnaviruses, in family S50, as to require the separate family S69.

Molecular structureIt is reasonable to assume that the fold is similar to those in family S50, and family S69 is also assigned to clan SJ.
